a few christmas pics

Christmas morning was tons of fun for us. Maddie let us sleep in til about 7am and she sort of got the Santa bringing gifts thing, and definitely got the idea of opening presents. Baby Sister just mostly chilled out in her bouncy seat (have I mentioned we barely call her Caroline? She's "Baby Sister") and just watched us or slept.

If you were really paying attention you noticed that Maddie was not in the same PJs on Christmas morning as she was on Christmas Eve. For some reason she absolutely does NOT want to be in her PJs when she gets up in the morning (much to my despair, no matching sister PJs for pictures) and immediately unzips them. Luckily she was okay putting on her Tinkerbell PJs that morning.

Maddie made out pretty well. LOTS of new toys to play with. She's carrying her "Pat-Pat Maputer" from Lola here. Need a Maddie to English dictionary? Yeah, I know. Its fun being being around a two year old.

Even Tucker got a new toy from Aunt Carol!! Poor Tucker doesn't make out at Christmas like he used to, but Aunt Carol and Aunt Rita didn't forget about him. Aunt Rita got him some reindeer treats. He's eaten Dancer, Prancer and Rudolph. Still working on the rest. Aunt Carol sent him a squeeky basketball toy which he loves. He was like a little kid Christmas morning squeeking it around the room!

Here I am trying to hold up the new sweater from Aunt Carol to see how it would fit Maddie. Needless to say, she wasn't sitting still too long with presents to open! I LOVE the sweater. Can't wait for Maddie to wear it. Aunt Carol has GREAT taste in clothes! And here I am modeling my brand new UNH sweatershirt from Aunt Laura.

Santa thought Maddie had been a very good girl this year and got her the one thing she asked for... a bicycle. She LOVES it. She ate breakfast on it. Her feet don't quite reach the pedals yet, but thats where that handle thing comes in handy.

She (and Daddy) also love her new trainset from Grammie and Grandad. Its a really cool set with an airport, gas station, drawbridge, etc. She loves putting it together. She has played with it almost every day since Christmas.

And here were are in her "castle" from Aunt Jen Jen. We've read books in it every night before bed. The best part about the "castle" is that it came with a water bottle and eye mask for our camping trips. :)

That's a quick wrap-up of our Christmas morning. We didn't take many pictures of the rest of us because well, we were mostly just focused on Maddie. Also, the adults don't look quite as cute at 7am pre-coffee as the two year old in her Tinkerbell PJs. I figured I'd spare you the evidence of that.
