first day of pre-k and adventurers!
Monday marked Maddie's very first day of Pre-K, and Caroline moved up to the Adventurers classroom as well! Maddie picked out her first day of school outfit from head to toe!
Maddie really loves her new room and new teachers. Ms. Karen in the lead teacher and Ms Martha is the secondary teacher. Maddie says Ms Martha has "loopsy loopsy" hair, which means curly.
Caroline had to say goodbye to Ms "Layla" (aka Kayla) which made us all very sad (including Ms Kayla), but Ms Jeni is great as well, and Caroline got to see her old buddies Blake, Grady and Reagan again.
Where is the time going? This is all going by like the speed of light!

road trip to baltimore!
The Herndon clan took a road trip to Baltimore to visit Aunt Laura and Uncle Jody in their new house! We of course wanted to see Laura and Jody, but it also gave us a good excuse to test out our cool new car! Here's Maddie in the backseat testing out the DVD player to make sure it worked!
Yes, Tucker came for the ride. Although he had his very own seat in the third row, he preferred to sit squeezing himself between Maddie and Carolines seats.
We got to Baltimore with no problems at all and fell in love with their new house. Very cottage-y and reminded us a lot of our house in Decatur. They have a fabulous, parklike backyard that the girls (and Tuck) really enjoyed. Here's a pic of Maddie and Jody playing Power Rangers.
They took us to Cafe Hon for brunch which was a blast and super yummy.
And then to the store across the street where Maddie scored some awesome Hun glasses and a white poodle in a leopard print purse (which every girl needs).
We spent a lot of time on the back deck drinking coffee and socializing...
And played some Bocce Ball! Go Team Herndon!
And as you can imagine, we wore those girls out!
All in all we had a wonderful trip. Can't wait to go back! We miss you guys!
