more disney...

It's cold today. 25 degrees to be exact and boy and I missing Disney today! I was browsing our Disney pics and decided to post a few more.

If you know me, you know I love some Wreck it Ralph.  I was so excited when we found them.  Caroline gave Venellope her best "Ralph my man... My main man" impression and they both looked at eachother and gave her a ginormous hug. How CUTE IS THAT????

Ugh. Love. 

I mentioned I ran my first ever marathon during the trip and... It was amazing. Ran with my neighbor and good pal Brad. Here we are running down the amazing Main Street which was jam packed with spectators cheering their loved ones on. 

It was LOUD and CRAZY and always gives me the chills. 

We did great and had these cuties cheering us on. 

Done! 26.2 in the books! Will I do it again? Absolutely. Worth every minute of training. 

And yes that's a beer in my hand... And it tasted so good!

So on to more Disney fun. We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside in one of the brand new princess rooms. The best part? The headboard that displays fireworks above your head at the push of a button. So awesome. Girls LOVED that of course. So did I!

We couldn't leave without visiting Ariel's Grotto. We had never done it before and wow... Up close and personal with one of the girls favorite princesses. She spent 4-5 minutes with them asking them all kinds of questions and answering theirs of course. 

And this year the girls were NOT afraid of Goofys barnstormer roller coaster! In fact, because there was no line- we went on it over and over! Caroline had her arms up the entire ride when I rode with her and wouldn't let me hold her at all. She's a brave little one. 

And I FINALLY got one of my girls to want to buy Mickey ears. We have been a handful of times with them now and they were just never that interested. Finally, Caroline said she wanted some and of course... It needed to be this one. 

Fine with me! 

Because we were there during track out, we were able to meet up with one of Maddies shoolmates Ava for a quick hello. 

That's it for this trip.  Another awesome Disney vacation packed full of wonderful memories I will remember forever. 

And you know what the mouse says, "See ya real soon!" You know it Mickey. 

important to remember in 1st grade

This is a little old but I was just sorting through files and found Maddies report card before Christmas break.

We are all struggling with the Common Core curriculum and how it should be implemented but it seems like teachers here in NC are having a particularly tough time with the lack of support from the legislators and even some times the school board. 

This note was tucked into Maddies report card folder and I thought it was so sweet. I tear up a little every time I read it. 

The magical world of...

Disney again!! Yippee!!! 

We were there for the WDW Marathon weekend. Mommy was running her very first marathon and what better place to do that than DISNEYWORLD!  If you're going to run 26.2 miles, it really needs to be at the happiest place on earth. 

We did a long weekend and as usual... Had an amazing time. This lady photobombed our castle shot but... What can ya do?

Our new favorite experience was Storytime with Belle. I'm not sure how it happens... But whenever we go to these we end up getting the best spot, best treatment, etc. 

Caroline was chosen to be Chip 

And Maddie got to be... 

The BEAST!!  She got to dance with Belle! She couldn't stop talking about it the entire trip!

So special for both of them. 

Next stop Dumbo!!! 

We went to Disney with our neighbors the Yarbroughs ( I was running with Mr. Brad) so we got to enjoy the rides with Callie and her fam too!

Jellybeans jellybeans!

We discovered a roller skating rink near us called Jellybeans! Maddie and Caroline got invited by some friends and despite all the falling... They had a blast!

 

Can't wait to go back! 

Oh Atlanta!

We took a trip to Atlants and to our old stomping grounds. Does this place look familiar?

We met with our old buddies and they're sweet littles.

We miss these folks so much... Much love!!!

It was birthday season for Grammie and Grandad! We love celebrating with them and helping blow out the candles!

Happy Birthday Jesus and Santa!

I know... These are a little late... But they're so cute I couldn't resist posting. 

Caroline and Callie had a birthday party for Jesus during their Sunday School class and made these great hats. 

And seeing Santa this year was a huge success. No tears this year and Caroline was sure to tell him everything on her two page list.

Trip to the vet

Caroline is such a great little helper on Fridays. She even helps me take Tuck to the vet. 

She was definitely the most fashionable at the vet that day!
