happy 1/2 year baby!

What an amazing 6 months its been! Maddie is officially 6 months old! I cant believe how quickly the time has gone. She's such a sweet baby and we're so lucky to have her. She's so smiley and happy and although I wish she'd get the whole sleep thing down at night.... when she looks up at me with those big blue eyes and gives me a smile at 4am- its ALL worth it.

She's growing up so fast. It seems like every day she's doing something new. She's getting better at sitting up and can balance herself sitting up for a few minutes at a time. Tummy time isnt as torturous as it used to be and she really pushes herself up on her forearms and hangs out there for awhile. She rolls from her belly to her back quite a bit but hasn't gone the other way yet.

She's still loving mealtime in her big booster seat from Aunt LoLo. The seat works perfect! Im so glad we didn't have to go out and buy a highchair. We just don't have room for it in our little house. She's still eating rice cereal but we've got sweet potatoes in the freezer just ready to go! I think we'll start them on Saturday.


Here she is with her favorite book, "So Big!" She stares at the pages and literally turns them while we read.


Our next exciting event is a visit from Nana and Pop Pops for her dedication next Sunday. We can't wait for them to get here. We're counting down the days!
