family thanksgiving

We celebrated another great Thanksgiving holiday with Grammie and Grandad and Aunt Susan. We spent the morning being lazy, watching the Macy's parade and loving on Tucker before we headed to G&Gs for the wonderful feast of food!!

We have so much to be thankful for this year and count our many blessings everyday!

We spent a chilly Saturday afternoon taking our annual family photos so we had a get rid of the chill with a nice big mug of hot chocolate. Caroline was so excited that she was drinking from a coffee cup!

Maddies Kindergarten had their feast on Friday. They sang a song about turkeys, recited a poem and then all sat around a big table where they ate their "feast" compete with "friendship fruit." Each child brought in a piece of fruit and combined it made a yummy salad! Adorable.

belated Halloween

I know... It's thanksgiving and I'm just now posting Halloweeen pictures! Horrible!!! I have no excuse other than the usual business of life.

Honestly, the only reason I'm able to post as much as I am is because I found an app that easily allows me to blog from my iPhone. If it weren't for that... I don't think this blog would exist anymore! Sad but true.

So here I sit in the passenger seat on our ride back home from the lake. The girls are asleep and its quiet... so ill post as much as I can!

The girls decided to be Ariel (Maddie) and Sleeping Beauty by day and Spidergirl by night (Caroline) for Halloween. Caroline got to trick or treat at school and then we did a few laps around the neighborhood at night. We got to trick or treat with our sweet 2 year old neighbor Callie who was dressed as a witch. She was adorable and got the hang of it really quickly! So much fun!!

trunk or treat!!!

For those of you unaware of what trunk or treating is... I thought I'd post a few pictures of the trunk or treat at our church.

People decorate their cars in various themes and dress up themselves and the kiddos go car to car and say trick or treat and get candy!

It was pretty cute. Some people went all out. My favorite were the Angry Birds (complete with blocks and birds) and a group of high school girls who were the complete cast of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.

We met our friend Callie and got to trunk or treat with her!

We were happy to have a quick visit from Aunt Laura and Uncle Jody! We were too busy to take many pictures but here are a few of our punkin pickin adventure with Aunt Laura.

We didn't quite make it down to the Raleigh Christmas Parade but we didn't get snuggly and watched it on Tv. Aw.

We had another great time at the NC State Fair this year! We bought a bunch of ride tickets and the girls just wanted to ride the super huge slide over and over.

We ate yummy food, saw lots of cool animals, rode ponies, took pictures with "princesses", played games, rode rides, the list goes on and on.

What a great day!!!

Caroline turns three!!

It's hard to believe but our sweet baby girl Caroline turned three years old!

She wanted a Spider-Man party... So that's what she got! Complete with Spider-Man bouncy house, web slinging and lots of fun with friends in the backyard.

Caroline had all of her best buds from school come; Blakey, William and Grady as well as our neighbor Callie and our friend Kyra too!

She got lots of fun toys and has asked if she can have another birthday soon!
