the awesome block party

Maddie and Caroline's school had a killer block party last Friday afternoon. There were plays, games, snacks, karate demonstrations... you name it.

Maddie's class did a play of "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" by Eric Carsle. Maddie was pretty excited to be the purple cat.

Here she is with one of her very best buds in her class, Mackenzie. Mackenzie is so cute... she's very motherly to Maddie. She likes to guide her around and make sure she has everything she needs. Adorable.

Here is Ms Karen trying to corral this crazy group. We don't have pictures of the actual play itself because Jim was videotaping.... but you'll just have to imagine how cute it was.

Outside was a karate demonstration where these kids somehow broke boards, dont ask me how.

And Miss Maddie had her face painted for the very first time. This is exciting stuff.

Yummy snacks were had by all. Notice Caroline sitting with the big girls. She makes sure to tell you she's a big girl these days.

Caroline's class did a Princesses and Pirates Parade and guess what Caroline chose to be? Yup, a pirate. She's a cutest pirate ever.

And here are the girls with their beloved Ms Barbi. She's the director at the school and my girls LOVE her. They run into her office every morning coming into school and will never leave in the afternoon without giving her a big hug goodbye. This definitely makes a mom feel good... I know they're in great hands!
