the lautenschlagers, chapel hill and duke

We were so happy to have our great friends Steff, Lanny and sweet baby Sydney come visit us from St Louis! We've missed them so much since they moved to St Louis and we moved to NC. This was our first time meeting Baby Sydney and boy were the girls happy to meet her!

They loved, loved, LOVED her!

We hit some local highlights including downtown Chapel Hill. Yes, Maddie looks way to old in these pictures.

We heaed over to the Duke Campus after Chapel Hill. We took them into Duke Chapel, and Jim showed them his old stomping grounds.

At one point Maddie started to pout... so Mr Lanny had to pick her up and carry her the rest of the way! I think she did it on purpose so she could get a free ride. What a great guy!

In the sports museum there's a little closet where you can feel what its like to be in Cameron during the day. You press a button and the lights flash, the band plays and the crowd goes wild! We figured it would be a few years before Caroline would be going to a game - so we let her check it out and see what she thought.

Did I mention the girls loved Sydney? They could barely keep their hands off of the poor little thing. She was just as sweet and perfect as can be.
