I've been so excited for Mr. Elf to arrive at our house this year. He arrived on Thursday and has been on active duty since then. For those of you who don't know... the Elf on the Shelf is an Elf that comes from Santa to your house to check in on your kids and report back to Santa every night. He comes back in the morning in a different spot in your house. So far he's been on the bookshelf and in the tree... I think tomorrow morning he might come in the freezer (because he's homesick for the North Pole).
We've named him Mickey and have an adoption certificate for him and everything!
At first Maddie wasn't too interested in him... but now she looks for him every morning and even asked me to tell Mickey that she was taking her nap yesterday. So cute.
We're hoping Mickey has some good reports back to Santa!
