Christmas Eve in Apex was full of family, friends and FOOD! Good food was definitely the major theme of our week. The day started out with some hanging out with the dogs and Aunt Susan coming over.
Aunt Susan brought her big dog Marley. Maddie was fine with him back in October, but wasn't quite as in to him this time. She thought he was just a tad big for her liking. He wasn't so bad when she was up above him - but she screamed a high pitched shrill when she was on the ground next to him. I can't blame her - he must seem really big to her! 
Here we are with the neighbors. They came by to wish us some holiday cheer.

Maddie got decked out in her holiday finest for the annual Ms. Maynard Christmas Party. This was my second time to the party and Maddie's first. She was a hit and really enjoyed the holiday treats at the party! 
We got home pretty late, but had to do the annual reading of The Night Beofre Christmas with Grandad before bedtime. 
After Maddie went to bed, Grammie and Grandad brought out one of their gifts for her... a playhouse! It was a really cool cardboard playhouse that you can color!!!! We had a great time putting it together and everyone chipped in coloring various parts of the house while drinking eggnog and watching the Christmas Story. 
After we all colored as much as we possibly could and watched the Christmas Story 2-3 times thru on TBS, we called it a night and went to bed so Santa could come.
