baby's first easter

We had a really wonderful day today celebrating our baby girls very first easter. She got dressed up in her sweet easter dress from Nana and was a big hit at church. After church we took pictures in front of the beautiful cross in the front lawn thats decorated with flowers that are brought in from peoples homes (although this year I think they needed to improvise a bit because easter was so early... I dont think many people had real flowers to bring in from their yards). After that we went out to a relaxing lunch with our friends Steffani and Lanny and then came home and relaxed.

Here are some of my favorite pictures from today. Here we are with sort of matching mother-daughter dresses. They're not officially matching... but the colors do match. Hey- Im still not fitting into pre-prego dresses so I dont have much to choose from! I do see a Hanna Anderson matching outfit someday in our future though... yikes!

With the "other woman." Maddie is really admiring those pearls. I thought she was a diamond girl but maybe she's reconsidering.

Daddy can't wait for Maddie to walk... Im fine with her being immobile for a little while longer, but it does make for a very good shot of the dress. It was white with yellow flowered trim and embroidered lambs and flowers along the bottom. PERFECT!

Here she is with the adorable lamb aka "Lammy" she got from Lanny and Steff. It matches her dress perfectly... howd they know? She loves him and gave him kisses all afternoon long. Lammy even wears a raincoat to protect his soft fur from Maddie's constant drool (smart lamb).

And here we are in front of the beautiful cross on the front lawn of the church. This is our 2nd annual family picture... last year Maddie was warm and cozy in utero. We hope this becomes an easter family tradition!
