the bunny came!
The easter bunny came to our house! He left two baskets full of toys and goodies and left a trail of eggs out the door and around the house. The girls were egg hunting pros at this point and needed little instruction.
When her basket got too full, Caroline decided to push it around in her wheel barrow. Smart girl.

egg hunt at grammie and grandads!
On Saturday Grammie and Grandad had an easter egg hunt at their house. Cousin Lilly was there and the girls really had a blast.
Caroline LOVES her basket... and didnt let anyone hold on to it for her. She was actually pretty good at picking up the eggs and putting them in her basket.
As you can see, Maddie was excited.
Caroline needed a bit of a break after the hunt... here she is taking a rest on Grammie's shoulder... so sweet.
The girls were so sweet together. They are all almost a year apart... 18 months, 2.5 and 3.5 years old!
After the hunt we headed inside to check out our loot and have a really wonderful dinner on the back deck. Thanks again Grammie and Grandad! It was a blast!

bunny hutch
We did lots of fun crafts this week... including making an easter bunny hutch.
Caroline is a big fan of anything that contains sugar... and partial to the marshmallow windows! Maddie and Nana had a hard time keeping them on before Hurricane Caroline blew them off!

easter with nana and pop pops!
Nana and Pop Pops came to spend Easter week with us. They arrived late on Monday night and we've had non-stop fun ever since.
On Wednesday we showed Nana and Pop Pops Maddie and Carolines school and got to participate in Maddie's class egg hunt.
Nana and Pop Pops got to see Maddie's classroom and even Caroline showed them around a bit.
The Easter Bunny made a surprise visit out on the playground. Maddie and Caroline were NOT amused.
This is the closest we could get Maddie to the Mr Bunny.

apex community easter egg hunt
Happy Easter friends! Last Saturday we went to downtown Apex for the community easter egg hunt. This was just hours before the big storm came through- so the hunt was inside. The gym was covered with eggs - and packed with kids, but we still had a great time!

hamrick visit
A few weekends ago, we had some great friends from Atlanta stay over for a visit.
It was so nice to see them and for the girls to play together. Maddie and Caroline had a blast!
We hope they come back really soon... and all you Atlanta friends reading... we have plenty of room and are always open to visitors! :)
