maddie plays t-ball

Maddie was a member of the Diamond Jaxx this season for the Town of Holly Springs.  It was a co-Ed team of 5-6 year olds and she loved it.

She made great contact with the ball every time she was up to bat and barely missed any balls in the field.

We're so proud of her! Hope she wants to play again next spring!

peanut princess

And we can't leave out this little princess!!

my princess

Maddies friend Sydni invited her to a Princess Makeover Party and Maddie was pretty much in heaven. It was held in a cute house in Apex and was covered in all things princess from ceramic frogs to castle teapots!

They got to pick from the millions of dresses, tiaras, shoes and even hair pieces!!! And to top it all off... Had their makeup and nails done.

This was a drop off party (still getting used to that concept) but I'm glad I stayed because I got to snap some pictures.

This girl leaves those Toddlers and Tiara girls in the dust, am I right?

gymnastics party!!

Caroline got to attend another friends birthday party last weekend at Sonshine Gymnastics and she thought it was pretty awesome!! Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to Emma because she was moving to South Carolina but we were happy to be able to share her birthday with her.

Mother's Day kayaking

I got to pick anything I wanted to do for Mothers Day this year and decided to spend the day on the lake kayaking. We were excited to get out on the kayaks for the first time this season. The water was cold... But beautiful!! What a great day!

Aunt Susan graduates!!!

We had so much fun celebrating aunt Susan's graduation with her last weekend. She graduated from nursing school and we're so proud of her!!

The best part was seeing relatives we hadn't seen in forever. The girls had so much fun with all their aunts and would be happy if we had a graduation celebration every weekend!

Caroline parties on her own!

Caroline went to her first birthday party without Maddie today. This is a pretty big deal! Her friend Sophie from school was turning 4 and she has an awesome super hero party. Caroline had a blast! She even saved some candy from her goodie bag for Maddie. Aw.

rockin and rollin with mommy!

I ran the Raleigh Rocks Half Marathon a few weeks ago and Jim and the girls surprised me at the finish line! I thought they were home in their PJs but nope, they were screaming my name and jumping up and down at the finish line.

This mommy is one lucky girl!!!

easter in apex

The easter bunny treated us well this year. It started with a box from Nana and Pop Pops full of yummy candy and masa's with the hard boiled egg in the middle. The easter bunny filled their baskets with fun spring stuff like chalk and bubbles and even KITES! Kites are pretty huge with us right now - not sure how he knew that, but he did! They came in handy at the beach the next week.
Lots of candy! Thanks Nana!

Easter bunny brings Kites! woo hoo!!!
The bunny also left a trail of eggs around the house since it was raining outside. The girls had such a fun time finding the eggs scattered all over.   After our egg finding and some breakfast we got ready for church in our matching monogrammed dresses. Not sure how many years I have of them wanting to wear matching dresses, but for now they love it.
Getting a good picture is getting harder and harder...
After church we headed to Grammie and Grandads for another easter egg hunt and a great lunch.  The girls LOVE finding eggs in their huge yard.
The annual family Easter photo!

Easter with Grandad

The Easter bunny even came to Grammie and Grandads house!

Such a great Easter yet again. The weather held out for us and we had a great time with family.  Thank you easter bunny for everything!

its all happening at the zoo...

We took a day trip to the fabulous NC Zoo with our friends Raley and Bertie and had so much fun.  We saw all kinds of great animals and enjoyed a beautiful spring day with some great friends.  Can't wait to go back!

How cute are these girls?  Not sure if the elephants are girls ... but we'll assume they are!
