Fridays with Caroline

While Maddie is at school on Fridays (my first Friday without her!!!) Caroline and I get to have some much loved together time.

I think Caroline absolutely loves the attention and the one on one love from mommy. And I love it too!!

This week we went to Panera for a breakfast and ran some errands.

she's off to big kid school!

So it's official... She's off to big kid school! I refuse to believe she's a big kid.

She was so excited to go on her first day that she asked me if she could walk, ride her bike and then take the bus because we weren't moving fast enough for her.

She did great the first day and then the entire first week! She just gives me tiny bits and pieces of her day, but so far she loves the cafeteria and recess the best.

She's also in class with her good friend Kyra which is so great for everyone. And she's seen a few of her other friends on the playground.

Mom and Dad are handling it ok. Lots of anxiety about her being the youngest in her class, but she seems to be doing absolutely fine. She even was awarded the swimmer of the day on Friday and got to walk down to the principals office with her teacher and pick out a prize from the prize box. She's awesome.

best 6.99 I've ever spent

we sure have gotten our money's worth on this little pool this summer.

Spencer's birthday party

Last weekend we had lots of fun at our friend Spencer's birthday party at Bounce U. We're going to miss all our Goddard School friends!

gymnastics time

The girls are still loving their gymnastics classes and are doing so well. Caroline's still in the Tiny Beamers class till she turns 3 (she's so ready to be in the next class) and Maddie has officially moved up to recreational class (open ages... Doesn't even have a cute name!).

This week Maddie shocked me by waking on the balance beam completely on her own!! She walked front and backwards and even did some dips and some flamingo legs! She's the one in the front in purple.

It's so much fun to watch them get better and enjoy it as much as they do!

marbles children's museum

Our last few days before Maddie started "big kid school" we decided to do some fun things around town. One of our favorite spots is the Marbles Childrens Museum in downtown Raleigh.

We had such a fun time exploring and playing, dancing and doing art! Such a blast!!

mommy-maddie slumber party

Daddy has been away the past few weekends and Maddie and I decided we would have a special mommy and Maddie slumber party!!!

We made popcorn and had pink lemonade and watched Tangled in mommies bed. Maddie LOVED it... And mommy did too! :). I was expecting that we'd be up late... But she was passed out by 9:15pm.

Love this kid.
