marbles children's museum

Our last few days before Maddie started "big kid school" we decided to do some fun things around town. One of our favorite spots is the Marbles Childrens Museum in downtown Raleigh.

We had such a fun time exploring and playing, dancing and doing art! Such a blast!!

mommy-maddie slumber party

Daddy has been away the past few weekends and Maddie and I decided we would have a special mommy and Maddie slumber party!!!

We made popcorn and had pink lemonade and watched Tangled in mommies bed. Maddie LOVED it... And mommy did too! :). I was expecting that we'd be up late... But she was passed out by 9:15pm.

Love this kid.

Hope we have many more of these!

We're so lucky to have Grammie and Grandads backyard to enjoy. It's beautiful... And is full of blueberries this time of year! The girls and I had a great time picking blueberries last week.

4th of July at the lake

We spent the 4th up at Grammie and Grandads lake house and what a fabulous time we had. We swam, fished, kayaked, water skied, tubed, set off fireworks, made smores.... The list goes on and on! The girls LOVE the lake!

Pullen Park with Will

We had a great time at the fabulous Pullen Park with our friend Will and his mom and dad.

Will has been in Maddies class for the last 2 yrs and is really a sweet little guy. His parents are pretty great too.
